Who is Midas Welle?

He's a rapper and producer from Cincinnati, Ohio.

He recently released 'The Wettening: Battlelion' mixtape.

...and umm, he's not too shabby.

.

I'm definately feeling more than one song on here, but I would have to say my favorite track is "The One That Went Nowhere". The beat is smoky, rising and falling throughout the track, and his voice matches up perfectly. It's a story about an outcast chick, he calls her 'nowhere girl'. You can't help but get the feeling, through Welle's music, that he relates a lot more to this 'nowhere girl' than he lets on. Hey, all the best musicians are outcasts, right?...well, the worst ones too, but Midas Welle is a nice breath of fresh air for my iPod.
Why don't you cop his mixtape for free here.

Or check out his blog?

My other faves would be 'The One He Enjoyed' and 'The One That Went', so give those a try to. And yeah, all the tracks are named like that.
